NEW YORK: Federal Court Eastern Virginia has issued orders for the release of prominent Kashmiri lobbyist, Dr Ghulam Nabi Fai.
Fai was arrested by the Federal Bureau of Investigation on July 19, 2011, for not abiding by some rules of the United States. Dr Fai was sent to Federal Prison in March 2012.

Fai has been working for the resolution of the Kashmir dispute under the banner of Kashmiri-American Council and has been organising international conferences and seminars.
Fai may be released in one or two days and due to weekend may be on Monday.
Fai was arrested on July 19, 2011 for concealing the transfer of USD 3.5 million from the ISI to fund his lobbying efforts and to influence the US government on the Kashmir issue. Agencies
