Rubab player passes away

SRINAGAR: Noted artist and Rubab player, Muhammad Yousuf Rather passed away last night due to a cardiac arrest.

An employee of Department of Information, Mr. Rather had recieved accolades at national and international events through his performance.

Several literary and artistic circles have condoled the death of Mr. Rather.

A condolence meeting was held at Directorate of Information, Jammu presided over by Director, Information, Mr. Zaffar Ahmad who paid rich tributes to late Mr. Rather for his artistic talent. Similar condolence meetings were held at Joint Directorate of Information, Kashmir and District Information Centres and sympathies were extended to the bereaved family of late Mr. Rather.

The Rasm e Chaharum of Mr. Rather would be observed on November 11 at his ancestral village, Buchoo, Tral.
