Canine Terror in Bemina

Srinagar: Several children were attacked and bitten by stray dogs on Saturday at Bemina triggering panic in the area.  

Witnesses said that some stray dogs on prowl attacked children and who ever came their way in SDA colony. The worst scene was a witnessed in this colony when a group of school children was waiting for bus to reach school. Some people tried to rescue the children but they too fell prey to the canine bites.

The locals complained that even though hundreds of dogs’ are on prowl in the area, the authorities seem unmoved and have failed to check the menace.
