6 injured as two cars collide at Nowgam

Srinagar: At least six persons, including two children, were injured in a car collision at Nowgam in he outskirts of Srinagar city on Friday.

Reports said that a Maruti car bearing registration no. JK01T-1065 collided with another Maruti vehicle bearing registration no. JK01E-3637 at Nowgam Bypass at around 1 pm on Saturday resulting in injuries to six persons.

A police official confirmed that two vehicles collided near Ahmed Hospital, Nowgam, Bypass. He said all the injured were shifted to SMHS Hospital and there condition was said to be stable.

The official identified the injured as Muhammad Yusuf Ganjoo, Nazir Ahmed Ganjoo, Insha Nazir, Saqib Nazir, Ovais Yousuf and Momin Ahmed.

Meanwhile, Police has registered a case FIR No. 127/2013 in this regard and has started further investigation in this regard.
