SRINAGAR: Two officials of General Post Office (GPO), Srinagar died on spot when their vehicle overturned and fell down into a Nallah near Awantipora in South Kashmirs Anantnag district Thursday morning.
A police official said that a vehicle belonging to GPO, Srinagar was on its way to Anantnag from Srinagar to drop the postal letters in the respective areas. On reaching Awantipora, the vehicle bearing registration number JK01A- 7571 skidded off the road and rolled down into a Nambal Nallah in Awantipora today morning.
The two persons who were performing their duties died on spot in the mishap, he said.
He identified the slain persons as Merajudin Lagroo of Barbar Shah, Srinagar and Mohammad Yousuf Bhat of Zalangam, Kokernag.
