SRINAGAR: Hurriyat Conference (G) Thursday reiterated that there wont be any strike on Friday and instead appealed people to observe complete shutdown on Saturday.
Hurriyat (G) spokesperson Ayaz Akbar said that the decision to call off strike was taken yesterday after some pro-freedom groups had appealed Syed Ali Shah Geelani to do so.
We appeal to the people to carry their normal activities on Friday and instead observe a complete shutdown on Saturday, he said.
Akbar also dismissed the rumours making rounds in Shopian district regarding strike on Friday. KNS
