Tral: Police, looking for an injured militant, raided several hospitals in south Kashmir and Srinagar, reports said Wednesday.
According to these reports, a stray bear had mauled a Hizbul Mujhadeen militant in South Kashmirs Rathsuna village few days back.
Police sources said that militant Adil Ahmed Shah alias Sultan soon after coming out from an hideout in a forest area of Tral was heading towards Rathsuna where he was attacked by a ferocious bear injuring him badly.
Sources said that the injured militant rushed back towards his hideout in critical condition.
Soon after receiving the information about the incident from their local sources, police and Army erected barricades and nakas at different places while every vehicle was being thoroughly checked.
A police official said that we are sure that militants with some local help might have shifted him to nearby hospital or it is most probable that he is getting treatment in some local house.
Meanwhile policemen in plain clothes checked various hospitals in Srinagar and South Kashmir and collected all the details about the injured patients.
Pertinently, Adil Ahmed Shah who is 22 years old joined Hizb last year, leaving his studies midway. (CNS)
