Srinagar: A Rajouri resident who had suffered head injury during a violent protest against Gool Killings near Awantipora succumbed to his injuries at Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences Soura Tuesday afternoon.
Ravi Kant Sharma was injured at Awantipora, on Srinagar-Jammu Highway on July 19 when he was hit by a stone on his head. He was being treated at SKIMS from last twelve days.
Amid curfew, violent protests had erupted soon after the Gool killings in different parts of Valley. Sharma was on his way to Rajouri when he was caught in the middle of the clashes between Govt forces and agitated youth.
Confirming the death, Medical Superintendent SKIMS, Dr Ajaz Mustafa said that Sharma had suffered head injury and he breathed his last Tuesday afternoon.
