ANANTNAG: District Development Commissioner, Anantnag today convened a meeting of officers to review the progress of work on Sinthan-Kishtwar road.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, Superintending Engineer Electric and representatives from BEACON were also present in the meeting.
It was given out in the meeting that the work from Akingam to Achabal shall commence from next week.
According to BEACON authorities 80-90 percent of the pot holes throughout the road have been filled and repaired. A joint survey shall be conducted, the meeting decided from Donipawa to Anantnag so that DPR can be prepared in time.
District Development Commissioner directed the Superintending Engineer Electric to mobilize resiurces for removing the various bottlenecks coming in the construction of the said road. Besides, was asked to shift various electric utilities so that work can be speeded up on this prestigious project. Similarly PHE authorities were also directed to remove and shift their utilities on the Simthen-Kishtwar road.
District Development Commissioner instructed the concerned agencies to gear up their men and machinary so that majority of the work is completed in the ensuing financial year.
