Muslim Federation Jammu Seeks Impartial Probe

JAMMU: Muslim dominated areas of Jammu Division observed a complete shutdown on Thursday against the Ramban killings. Meanwhile Muslim Federation Jammu while condemning the discretion of Holy Quran at the hands of BSF personnel said that Muslims are being provoked intentionally and in a planned manner to give a free hand to Indian Forces personnel to suppress Muslim community in Jammu and Kashmir.

President Muslim Federation Jammu, Talat Niaz Qazi said that the Federation called an important meeting over the innocent killings of Muslims in District Ramban. It is the duty of men in uniform to protect the life and property of people but the irony is that men in uniform are acting as real terrorists and are indulging in inhuman acts, Federation said adding that such actions could prove unproductive not only for the State of Jammu and Kashmir but for whole country as well.

Muslim Federation Jammu condemned the action of BSF personnel and said that one should not forget that whosoever acts in sacrilegious acts witnesses his own death in a brutal manner. We seek an impartial probe into the matter and appeal all Muslims of the state to protest peacefully and show their resentment against the idiotic act, Federation said.

Meanwhile all the Muslim dominated areas of Jammu District including Kathi Talab, Ustad Mohalla, Gujjar Nagar observed a complete shutdown over the Ramban incident and offered funeral prayers in absentia for those killed in firing. (CNS)
