Srinagar: Hizbul Mujahideen Monday said that the threat posters appearing in different parts of South Kashmir are the handiwork of different security agencies and the outfit had nothing to do with them.
The Hizb operational spokesperson, Baleeg-u-Din, was quoted by a local news agency as saying that the militant outfit had no commander by the name Major Saquib, to whom the poster campaign was attributed.
We have nothing to do with these posters. There is no District Commander of such name (Major Saqib) in our outfit and we strongly condemn this action, said Baleeguddin in a telephone interview with CNS.
Threatening posters on letter pads with HM written on them had appeared in various parts of South Kashmir. Thirty three people were warned of dire consequences in case they did not mend their ways.
