Srinagar, June 13: Terming the proposed visit of Rahul Gandhi to Kashmir as eyewash to cover the wrongdoings of his partymen in Kashmir, Medical Employees Joint Action Forum (MEJAF) Thursday said Congress high command did not take any action against those who were a part and parcel of the spurious drug scam.
MEJAF president Dr Nisar-ul-Hassan said Rahul is coming at a time when the whole nation is up in arms against the conspiracy of fake drugs which has killed innocent children and adults.
People of Kashmir are dejected, disgusted, cheated and feel a sense of defeat because of the inaction against the murderers. We informed congress high command about the involvement of their minister but instead of acting against them, the culprits are being shielded and the matter being hushed up thus giving a feeling that it is a state backed scandal, he said, The vriminal silence maintained by political parties has exposed every politician.
The political parties are busy in taking out rallies and lobbying for power and have maintained criminal silence on this issue which proves that they are power hungry and are not bothered about the people. PDP calls for action against farooq Abdullah when he came to the defence of the BCCI Chief but is it not a double standard that they remain silent against Sham Lal Sharma as he is a possible future ally, said Dr. Nasir.
He said MEJAF wanted a stern action against the guilty without any delay.
