Microsoft to conduct technology event in Srinagar

SRINAGAR – A cluster of tech savvy youth of Kashmir valley are going to organize a day-long technology-based event – Dream Spark – under a worldwide educational program – Microsoft Student Partners – here at SKICC on Sunday, June 9.
The event, being organized in collaboration with Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST), will offer interactive sessions with the brightest students and professional of the information technology world who will discuss technology, talk about careers in computer world, and give technical presentations. The speakers will be from Microsoft, Intel, and a guest speaker from Oracle.
“Dream Spark is a Microsoft India initiative empowering students, passionate about technology, to get an insightful overview of the current trends in the software industry”, one of the event organizers said adding that the intentions behind the event is to broaden the technical horizon of the students pursuing or willing to pursue a career in Computer Science or Information Technology and inject them with real-world skills.
The organizers claim to impart knowledge about the things ‘beyond the loop, logic gates and things taught in academia’. “The event also has a lot of fun and surprises in store for the participants”, they claimed.
The benefits provided to the participants of the event include a certificate of participation and free software ‘worth lakhs’. The event organizers will also provide goodies to tech savvy participants.
