SRINAGAR: Senior National Conference leader Ali Mohammad Sagar Wednesday advised Congress party to make a choice between NC or any other party.
It is their choice, if they (Congress) want to continue with us they are welcome and we have never compelled this party and neither we believe in the theory of compulsion, Sagar said and added that autonomy was an agenda and this agenda might not be digested by all.
Sagar was reacting to the statement made by Congress senior leader Taj Mohi-u-Din that from day one NC talked about Coalition compulsion. Taj had even said that NC had thrown Autonomy into the dust bin when this party was the part of NDA.
If Saghir Commission has not recommended the Autonomy, then why its term was extended? The Commission is getting extension to settle the focal point which is Autonomy, Sagar said adding that we should not expect that Autonomy could be digested by everyone.
He said National Conference is pursuing the Autonomy agenda vehemently. It is our agenda and we have not thrown it into dustbin, he said.
He refused to comment when asked that Congress party is blaming that NC harps on Coalition compulsion when it fails on any subject.
