Srinagar: With decline in tourist inflow to Kashmir following hanging of Afzal Guru by New Delhi, the state tourism department has yet again undertaken a drive to catch attention of the international tourists towards the scenic valley.
A team headed by the Minster for Tourism Ghulam Ahmad Mir Friday left for Saudi Arabia, where it intends to hold road shows in various cities of the Arab nation to attract them and other international tourists. The team includes Director Tourism Kashmir, Talat Parvaiz and Chief Executive Officer Gulmarg Development Authority Tariq Ahmad Ganie.
We will be on a five day trip during which road shows would be conducted in Riyad, Jeddah, Dammam and other towns, Talat Parvaiz said on Friday. The team is scheduled to return on May 25.
