SRINAGAR: A fire broke out in a mosque adjacent to a Sufi shrine in Pulwama district, causing extensive damage to it.
The fire broke out late Monday night in the mosque near the shrine of saint Hazrat Syed Mohammad Isfahani at Raj Mahal Bundzoo village, damaging the mosque completely, a police spokesman said.
There was no damage to the shrine in the fire, he said adding that the cause of the fire was not known immediately.
Police have registered a case and investigations were on, the spokesman said.
