SRINAGAR: Speaker, Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly Mr. Mubarak Gul today directed the concerned authorities to formulate a comprehensive detailed project report for the development and beautification of Rehbab Sahib Zirat Sharief Alikadal Srinagar. He also asked them to submit the proposal to the concerned quarter so that funds could be arranged for the purpose.
This direction was given by the Speaker during his tour to various downtown areas inEidgah constituency. The areas visited by the Speaker included Syed Hamidpora, Palpora, Alikadal and Shinglipora. During the visit, he took stock of the peoples problems besides developmental needs.
Earlier, Mr. Gul visited Zirat Hazarat Syed Mansoor Sahib (RA) and paid obeisance there. He prayed for peace and development of the State.
Later, the Speaker visited the residence of late Mudasir Ahmad Bhat, Constable and son of Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat resident of Shinglipora who was killed in encounter at Sopore on April 26, 2013 and sympathized with the bereaved family. He prayed for the eternal peace to the departed soul.
The Speaker assured that every possible help including compensation would be provided by the Government to the next of kin of the deceased on priority.
Elsewhere, interacting with the people at different places, Mr. Mubarak Gul said that the construction work on various micro and macro welfare projects is apace in Eidgah constituency, adding that their completion also will improve the socio-economic condition of the people in the area.
Responding to the demands put forth by the locals, the Speaker said that macadamization of main road Shinglipora would be taken in hand. He also announced work on upgradation of graveyard, construction of two sanitary units in Government Middle school at Shinglipora will also be taken up soon.
