SRINAGAR: Farooq Ahmad Dar Provincial President Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party has congratulated party patron Prof Bhim Singh for securing release of Mr. Iqbal Jan, District President for Bandipore who was facing life imprisonment in Tihar Jail.
Mr. Jan was sentenced to life imprisonment in 2009 by District Judge, New Delhi. The relentless efforts by Prof. Bhim Singh to get Iqbal Jan released by the order of Delhi High Court on 6th May provided justice to a Kashmiri youth who was being denied that for so long.
This is a ray of hope for so many other Kashmiri youth who are facing trials and are in various jails of the Country, he said.
Dar appealed Prof Singh to take up the cases of other Kashmiri youth also.
