Rs 4 Cr being utilised for cold storage facility
SRINAGAR: Emphasizing for the creation of job avenues for the educated unemployed youth, minister for Hajj, Auqaf, Public Enterprises and Floriculture, Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed today said that employability avenues are being explored in floriculture sector in the State to improve the socio-economic conditions of the people.
He said that cold storage facility is being developed for which Rs. 4 crore shall be utilised to give boost to the floriculture sector, adding that cold storage facilities shall be set up in all the districts to preserve the flowers and increase their shelf life.
The minister also enumerated the incentives being provided to unemployed youth interested in setting up income generating units in floriculture sector.
This was stated by the Minister while interacting with the deputations from different parts of the Valley who called on him here today.
He also informed that as many as 1.50 lakh tourists from different parts of the country and foreign tourists visited the Tulip Garden under foot hills of Zabarwan this year.
On this occasion, the Minister also directed for the registration of religious places including Graveyards, Masjids, Eidgahs so that the land occupied under these structures be entered in the revenue records.
