SRINAGAR: Senior Hurriyat Conference leader and Democratic Freedom Party President Shabir Ahmad Shah was released on Tuesday from nearly two month long detention. Police said that Shah was handed over to Sadder police Station wherefrom he was set free in the evening. He was taken into custody by police on February nine in the wake of Afzal Guru controversial hanging.
Earlier DGP had said that the separatist leaders would be released once there was improvement in the ground situation.
