JAMMU- The State Government today framed an Education Advisory Board for the purpose of formulating Educational Policy and Administration.
The list was sent for confirmation to General Administration Department, an official spokesman said.
Jammu and Kashmir School Education Act, 2002 was enacted by the Jammu and Kashmir State Legislature in the year 2002. The Act has come into force since 23rd April, 2002 i.e. date of notification in Government Gazette.
Accordingly, on the direction of Deputy Chief Minister (Minister In-Charge, School Education), the State Education Advisory Board has been framed as under and sent for confirmation to General Administration Department:- Deputy Chief Minister Chairman
(Minister In-charge School Education Department).

Supreme Court of India in the Judgment passed in the case titled Islamic Academy of Education V/S State of Karnataka has directed to the States to Constitute a Committee to fix the fee structure of Educational Institutions to prevent profiteering or payment of capitation fee or unjustify fee in any other manner.
In pursuance of the Judgment of the Supreme Court in the case titled Islamic Academy of Education V/S State of Karnataka, following Committee for fixation of fee structure of Private Educational Institutions in the State of Jammu and Kashmir has been framed and sent for confirmation to General Administration Department:-
Justice(Retd.) Bilal Ahmed Naziki Chairman, Former Chief Justice of Orissa High Court
Chartered Accountant of Repute to be nominated by the Member Chairman of the Committee
A representative of the J&K Board of School Education Member
Secretary to Government of J&K, School Education Deptt. Member-Secretary
The Committee shall be free to nominate / co-opt any other independent member of repute so that total number of Members of the Committee shall not exceed five.
