SRINAGAR: A day after accusing his colleague and PHE minster Sham Lal Sharma of defamation in order to scuttle chances of him becoming the next PCC Chief, Medical Education minster Taj Mohiuddin on Wednesday said he would approach AICC president and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi in next few days for action against Sham.
Sharma has created party indiscipline. He made allegations against me under a conspiracy to malign my image and reputation only to settle personal scores and scuttle my chances of becoming the next party chief in the state, an angry Taj said.
He said that he would personally take up the issue with Sonia Gandhi after the ongoing assembly session is over. Ill strongly demand an immediate action against Sharma for creating party indiscipline. Stressed Taj.
He also clarified that the appointments in PHE department, he was heading until January, that have come under scanner were not made during his tenure.
The appointments of 7900 employees, Sharma is talking about have been made in year 2005. It is on record and house was also informed about this fact, claimed Taj.
He said that Sharmas every effort failed as the facts proved his allegations baseless.
Meanwhile PHE Minster Sham Lal Sharma refused to comment on the controversy and said such things were not to be discussed in open.
Im not like others who discuss the business of house in media. Ive said in house whatever I had to. Ive great respect for sanctity of house. So Ill not discuss these issues with media, Sharma said over phone from Jammu. (KNS)
