SRINAGAR: Chief Education Officer Kupwara attached a head master and ordered a probe against his conduct for forcing students to do menial jobs at his school.
According to reports the head master of Government Middle School Ahgam, Rajwara, Handwara Syed Mohammad Farooq forced the students of his school to do different kinds of jobs, including sweeping class rooms and even cleaning of latrines.
When Village Committee Ahgam reported this matter to District Development Commissioner Sarmad Hafiz, he immediately issued an order (DCK/PS/4162- dated 27/3/2013) directing Chief Education Officer to probe the matter.
The CEO immediately attached the said teacher. The CEO in his letter to DC Kupwara wide order number 2908248/2813/2013 has confirmed his attachment stating that the head master of the said school has been attached while probe was underway.
