SRINAGAR: : Stating that Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has all along reiterated that Kashmir issue is a political one and can only be resolved through political means the Political Secretary to Chief Minister Tanvir Sadiq on Thursday said Omar Abdullah has told the Parliament that Kashmir issue cannot be put into a back-burner by announcing economic packages but a result-oriented dialogue should be held to solve it and the same thing he repeated on the floor of the house adding Kashmir issue exists and no one can deny it. It is not necessary we agree with each others viewpoints but at the end of the day we all want to address this political issue and resolve it amicably, he said.
“There is a need for a sustained political initiative to evolve a consensus for resolving the problem through peaceful means, at this moment a concerted and comprehensive effort is imperative to make the state not only economically but also politically strong said Tanvir
Emphasizing that no state can prosper without active support of the people, Tanvir asked people to overwhelmingly support the initiative taken by the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.
The state is limping back to normalcy and we are trying our best to ensure that people do not face any hardship said Tanvir while interacting with various delegations in Srinagar.
It is Omar Abdullah led government that is people friendly, result oriented and has a vision to ensure peace prosperity and progress of the state said Tanvir
While assuring the people that the day is not far when the state will have surplus power Tanvir said People have to bear in mind that ours is a poor state with 2 decades of uncertainty at our back and to revive and restore the overall structure people have to be a part and parcel of the initiatives taken by the government led by Omar Abdullah
The Political Secretary said that the government is focused on improving the power situation in the state various projects are in pipeline
Lauding the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for his visionary initiatives to make the state self reliant, the Political Secretary said The number of project that are coming up are giving sleepless nights to our adversaries and its leaders
Taking a dig at the opposition for their misinformation campaign the political Secretary said Let them come out with even one project that they had commissioned or had ever started
