Bills on juvenile justice, PF passed

JAMMU:- Eight Bills were passed by the House during today’s Business.

Minister for Finance and Ladakh Affairs, Mr. Abdul Rahim Rather on behalf of Chief Minister moved a Bill to amend the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services Decentralization and Recruitment Act, 2010 (L.A Bill No.8 of 2013). Mr. Harshdev Singh took part in the discussion and the Bill was passed by voice vote.

The Minister also moved a Bill to amend the Jammu and Kashmir Value Added Tax Act, 2005 (L.A Bill No. 2 of 2013). Mr. Harshdev Singh also took part in the discussion and the Bill was passed by voice vote.

Mr. Rather also moved a Bill to amend the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Special Provisions) Act, 2010 (L.A Bill No.6 of 2013). Mr. Harshdev Singh took part in the discussion and the Bill was passed by voice vote.

Minister for Social Welfare, Ms. Sakina Itoo moved a Bill to consolidate and amend the law relating to juveniles in conflict with law and children in need of care and protection, by providing for proper care, protection and treatment by catering to their development needs, and for the adjudication and disposition of matters in the best interest of children and for their ultimate rehabilitation and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto (L.A Bill No. 7 of 2013). Mr. Harshdev Singh and Mr. Ashok Kumar took part in the discussion and the Bill was passed by voice vote with minor amendments.

Ministers for Labour and Employment, Mr. Ajay Kumar Sadhotra moved a Bill to amend the Jammu and Kashmir employees Provident Funds (and Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1961 (L.A Bill No. 5 of 2013). Mr. Harshdev Singh took part in the discussion and the Bill was passed by voice vote with minor amendments.

Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Mr. Mir Saifullah moved a Bill to amend the Salaries and Allowances of Member of the Jammu and Kashmir State Legislature Act, 1960 (L.A Bill No. 4 of 2013). Mr. Harshdev Singh took part in the discussion and the Bill was passed by voice vote.

Minister of State for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation, Mr. Ajaz Ahmed Khan moved a Bill to amend the Jammu and Kashmir Transfer of Property Act, Samvat 1977 and the Jammu and Kashmir Alienation of land Act, Samvat 1995 (L.A No. 1 of 2013). The Bill was passed by voice vote. 

Minister of State for Tourism, Mr. Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo on behalf of Minister for Tourism moved a Bill to provide for the better management, administration and governance of Shri Mata Sukhrala Devi Ji Shrine and Shri Mata Bala Sundari Shrine and its endowments including the lands and buildings attached, or appurtenant, to the shrine and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto (L.A Bill No. 3).
