Be Hard On Criminals, Enhance Security Status: IGP To Cops


SRINAGAR: The Inspector General of Police Kashmir Zone, A.G Mir today stressed jawans and officers to work for enhancing the security status of their areas and be hard to deal with criminals to restore confidence of the people.

He said this at Baramulla while chairing a meeting of the police officers of North Kashmir range and addressed a darbar in District Police Lines there.

In his address, the IGP asked the jawans and officers to work for enhancing the security status of their respective areas and go hard on the criminals and by doing this we will be able to restore complete confidence among the masses. He directed policemen to identify the culprits behind any crime. He said that the policeman’s job is very noble by its very nature and working with honesty and dedication enhances the repute of the individual and the department.

He emphasized that Police station being the basic unit of the Police system and the officers and other officials manning this basic unit should listen to the complainants and their grievances should be redressed and succor be provided within shortest possible time. He told them to behave with commonman with empathy.

He assured the jawans that their problems whenever brought into his notice will be looked into sympathetically.

The darbar and meeting was attended by police officers of the district.
