Accessories of 9 cars stolen in Lal Bazar

SRINAGAR: Batteries and other accessories of at least 9 vehicles were stolen Tuesday night by suspected thiefs in city’s Lal Bazar Area.

The cars were parked in an open ground outside the locality when the the offence was committed during the intervening night of March 26 and 27, local said.

“Ongoing construction I our locality is a reason that we all park our vehicles in open ground.  Last night some burglars came and stole batteries of nine cars, gas cylinder and other valuables”, they added.

They demanded meaningful and result oriented investigation into the thefts. Police has taken cognizance of the matter after they were informed about incident, the locals said.
