SRINAGAR:  National Front today said the detentions of separatist leadership was part of a plan to thwart chances of coordination in the pro-resistance camp.

“National Front feels that the present arrests of the leadership including Nayeem Ahmad Khan is a part of the great game and that is to sabotage the chances of any coordination between the pro-freedom parties and groups”, the NF spokesman said in a statement issued here..

He said the establishment of peace in Jammu and Kashmir is not possible unless the Kashmir dispute is settled in accordance with the wishes of the people of the state. “What is called peace by the so called regime is not peace but the silence of graveyard”, he added.

“The so called government on the behest of New Delhi is using every undemocratic and uncivilized way to curb the Kashmir masses. It has jailed almost all the genuine political leadership of Kashmir by arresting or putting them under house arrest. The common people are not even allowed to raise their voice. The irony is that in the name of law and order, the arrest spree is not only continuing but it has been spread to every nook and corner of Kashmir”, the spokesman said in a statement issued here.
