SRINAGAR: Police today swung into action and erased slogans against it inscribed on shutters of several shops on Residency road Srinagar.

The graffiti visible on various shutters in yellow paint reads, ‘JKP we are coming’ and ‘JKP terrorists’ were erased by police using black paint. It’s believed that the graffiti has been written during the night of Friday, an official said.

“It is not a serious issue. It’s a mischief of some youth. You can yourself see at hundreds of places even on roads, youth have painted ‘Go India Go Back’, so for us it is not an issue,” a top police officer said adding that no case has been registered in this regard.
