MMM Calls For Special Friday Prayers

“GoI will have to budge before will of Kashmiris”

SRINAGAR: Reacting to a statement of Director General of Police (DGP) Ashok Prasad wherein he had hinted at possibility of a severe crack down on ‘separatists issuing protest calendars’, Mutahida Majlise Mashawrat (MMM) today said that government of India will have to return the mortal remains of Mohammad Afzal Guru and Mohammad Maqbool Bhat ‘as it was the demand of every Kashmiri’. 

MMM said that Guru and Bhat had sacrificed their lives for people and are the heroes of the Kashmiri nation.

According to KNS a statement issued to by MMM today said that return of mortal remains of both Guru and Bhat was the demand of every Kashmiri, and “Indian authorities will have to bow before the demand of people”.

The Majlis reiterated its protest calendar asking Kashmiris to hold special prayers on Friday and to hold protests after Friday prayers led by concerned Imams. Male students have been asked to hold protest demonstration on Saturday in schools, colleges and universities.KNS
