PDP Announces Session Boycott


Asks CM to clear fate of his letter to PM

JAMMU: Asking Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to answer people what fate his letter had met wherein he had written Prime Minister to return mortal remains of Parliament attack convict Mohammad Afzal Guru, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) announced boycott of remaining budget session of State Assembly.

“Home Minister has insulted the dignity of the house by refusing to return mortal remains of Afzal Guru”, PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti told media persons immediately after coming out of house on Wednesday.

“We therefore boycott the rest of the budget session of the House in protest over it. Home Minister has closed all doors for negotiations and considerations. He is thinking now about the situation in case of mortal remains are returned but why it failed to thought about it before sending Guru to gallows. “, said mehbooba. 

PDP President said there is no use to sit in a House which has been insulted, adding, “CM should make his position clear before the public about the fate of his letter he had written to Prime Minister”
