No SDA in place for employees posted in Ladakh

JAMMU- Minister for Planning and Development Mr. Ajay Sadhotra while replying to a Calling Attention Notice by Mr. Narboo Gialchan said that Special Duty Allowances (SDA) has never been in place for the State Government employees posted in the Ladakh region and there is no case to start it now.

The Minister said however, the rates of compensatory/Boarder Allowance wherever admissible under rules have already been revised vide SRO 207 dated 20-6- 2012.

Mr. Sadhotra earlier the case was examined and sent to the Finance Department vide U.O.No. LA (Acctts) 05/2007 (P-II) dated6-8-2012. The said case was examined by the Finance Department and returned vide U.O.No.A/92(2010)-1047 dated 6-9-2012 after observations.
