Governor appoints Roma Wani Secretary of IRCS

JAMMU – Mr. N. N. Vohra, Governor, has appointed Ms. Roma Wani, former Special Secretary, Planning and Development Department, J&K Government, as Honorary General Secretary, J&K State Branch of Indian Red Cross Society.

The Governor, who is the President of Indian Red Cross Society, J&K State Branch, has made the appointment of Ms. Wani for a period of two years in the initial instance, from the date she assumes the charge. She replaces Mr. Feroze Ahmad, the Honorary General Secretary, who had completed his tenure.

Ms. Wani, a former KAS officer, has remained closely associated with the Girl Guides movement in Jammu and Kashmir and has exhibited tremendous enthusiasm for voluntary work and missionary activities.
