Srinagar: A new 50-bedded hospital at Banihal with an estimated cost of Rs. 20.18 crore is under construction while Rs. 3 crore has been released under NHRM for the purpose.
This information was given by the Minister of State for Health, Mr. Shabir Ahmed Khan while replying to a question by Mr. Sham Lal Bhagat.
He said re-modelling of emergency hospital Batotoe and Doctors Residential Quarters stand completed at a cost of Rs. 90.82 lakh and Rs. 130.50 lacs respectively. He said Para medical staff quarters, mortuary is under execution with an estimated cost of Rs. 97 lacs and accidental hospital at Khellini (Doda) is under construction at an estimated cost of Rs 399.60 lacs, adding district hospital Doda is also under construction at an estimated cost of Rs32.23 crore.
The minister further stated that the trauma hospital at Thatri (Doda) is under coming up at an estimated cost of Rs.75 lacs while the District hospital Kishtawar stands completed and has been made functional with an estimated cost of Rs. 11.15 crore.
