NEW DEHLI: The defence minister of AK Antony claimed Pakistan has violated the ceasefire along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir on 188 occasions between the years 2010 to 2012, report said today.
AK Antony was addressing the Indian parliament Lok Sabha. He asserted that three Indian Army personnel were killed on these instances and 16 injured.
He further elaborated that government of India has taken up the issue of violations of ceasefire with Pakistan government time and again.
According to the defence minister, Pakistan allegedly committed the offence 44 times in 2010, 51 in 2011 and 93 in 2012.
All violations of ceasefire are taken up with Pakistan military authorities at appropriate level through established mechanism of hotline, flat meetings as well as weekly talks between the director generals of military operations, Antony said.
