JAMMU: Fire erupted in a part of the state Assembly complex in winter capital here but did not cause much damage as fire tenders brought it under control on time.
According to eye witnesses, the fire broke out in the assembly complex this morning when the state cabinet was meeting in the nearby civil secretariat, creating situation of chaos and confusion.
However, the fire extinguishers and fire tenders were put into service and fire brought under control.
Pertinently, the Budget session of the state assembly is scheduled to be held at Jammu from 28 February.
