SRINAGAR: Srinagar police arrested a cyber stalker who was harassing a girl by putting objectionable contents on her facebook page, police sources said today.
Srinagar police received a complaint from a girl (name withheld) that she was being persecuted by some Cyber Stalker, who was posting obscene material and comments on her facebook page. The accused was running a fake facebook account under the name [email protected] on yahoo platform, they added
According to the sources, a case FIR no: 90/2012 under Section 66 Information Technology Act was registered in police station, Shaheed Gunj.
The investigating team cracked the accounts and arrested the accused (named withheld), they added.
