BUDGAM: According to Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, Budgam, all the poultry farmers of district Budgam are informed to contact their concerned Block Veterinary Officers (BVOs) within three days before putting their produce on sale.
The farmers are advised to examine their stock for any disease and get clearance certificate from the concerned officers. The sale of birds without certificate from Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, Budgam shall not be allowed and defaulters if any would be dealt under law.

In addition, the farmers are advised to report unusual poultry mortality to their Block Veterinary Officer immediately besides, ensure deep burial/burning of dead carcasses and poultry farm bye products, after clearance of the present stock, give their farm at least one months rest and before stocking next hatch, disinfect their farm, farm utensils and farm.
