SRINAGAR: A high school student put an end to her life in the southern town of Kokernag after failing to qualify the Class 10 examination, reports said.
The seventeen-year-old girl reportedly consumed some poisonous substance at her home on the towns outskirts after the Board of School Education declared the results of the annual examination yesterday.

The hospital witnessed brief commotion when the students relatives alleged that she had not received proper medical care.
Her life would have been saved had the staff taken prompt steps, they said.
The medical superintendent denied the allegation, saying that the girl had been dead on arrival.
When the doctors examining the casualty were about to confirm her dead, some people raised a hue-and-cry in the hospital, he said.
