Shah pays tributes to Sofi Akbar

SRINAGAR: Democratic freedom Party Chairman Shabir Ahmad Shah has paid glowing tributes to the Mahazi Azadi founder Sofi Muhammad Akbar on his 25th death anniversary.

Shah said that Akbar has no comparison in the freedom struggle. “What else can one say about Akbar when the leaders like Sheikh Abdullah fell to the greed for power? But Akbar led from the front and rejected the Indra-Sheikh Accord and gave a new lease of life to the Plebiscite front,” he said.

Shah further said that it the foolishness of the authorities that if they think that the freedom struggle can be suppressed by the tactics that they have been employing in the past also.
