JAMMU: At least five persons were killed and three others injured when a passenger taxi they were travelling in skidded off the road and plunged into a gorge in mountainous Doda district.
“A passenger taxi on way from Kishtwar to Doda this morning met with an accident near Prem Nagar in Doda,” police sources here said.
They said the vehicle plunged into the gorge. “Four persons died on the spot and as many injured,” an official here said adding that two of the injured were shifted to the government medical hospital Jammu where one of them succumbed. The identities of the deceased are yet to be ascertained, he added.
