JAMMU: Director General of Police today said his force was adequately equipped to take care of Hizb-ul-Mujaheedin’s Chief Syed Salahudin’s statement threatening the Sarpanches and Panches.
“Jammu and Kashmir Police is perfectly equipped to take care of his (Salahudin) threats of violence,” Mr Ashok Prasad told reporters here this morning.
The Police Chief was addressing his maiden press conference in this winter capital after taking over as new DGP of Jammu and Kashmir Police.
“He (Salahudin) always make the statements. He is far away from here and is out of our reach,” he said. “We have been taking care in the past and we will maintain the order, which we have been doing in the past four to five years to maintain peace in Jammu and Kashmir,” the DGP added. Agencies
