KASHMIR/JAMMU – The National Conference today said that fielding coalition candidates together in the MLC election is yet another step towards strong bonding of friendship between National Conference and Congress.

“The coalition between NC-Congress is for peace, prosperity, progress and people of the state” National Conference Spokesman Tanvir Sadiq today said adding “The victory of coalition candidates, Ali Mohammad Dar, Dr. Shahez Gania, Gh. Nabi Moonga and Sham Lal Bhagat will strengthen the bond of trust and mutual understanding as they have all the ingredients in them to vociferously highlight your demands and also put across the issues faced by the Panchayat members.

“It is a dream of the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to see that the Panchayat raj system become strong, vibrant and successful, he is the one who initiated the slogan of “governance from secretariat to the doorstep of the people” and he is the one who along with the coalition will take it to its logical end” said Sadiq

He said the slogan of “Sarkar hamari Jari hai, logu tak poonchani hai” will reverberate in the whole of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh.

Ridiculing the opposition, NC spokesman said “Our opposition has given everyone an impression that the elected Panchayat members are saleable and anyone can buy them but our leadership has all along said that NC and Congress Panches and Sarpanches are our soldiers with an impeccable character, they will not compromise their faith for anything” said Tanvir “Show them their place on Dec 3rd and teach them a lesson that elected people like you are not salable but people with integrity” he appealed

“It now evident that they avoid talking about MLC election as they have given up and conceded defeat, but still have the audacity of talking about forming government” ridiculed Tanvir “They will taste the defeat from Wachi its self” he said “Save your sinking ship first then talk about reaching the shore” he added

Emphasizing that safety and well being of Panchayat members is of prime importance to us, Tanvir said “Omar Sahib has already said that the insurance and honorarium are already under consideration” adding “There are many forces who want you to fail and resign and would be waiting with a bated breath to jump in the election if you quit” said Tanvir adding “The NC-Congress coalition together will defeat all those forces who are out to fail you” he added
