ANANTNAG – In order to meet out any eventuality during snowfall besides ensuring Srinagar-Jammu National Highway open during winter season, a high level officers meeting convened by Disaster Management Committee (DMC), Anantnag was held at Qazigund under the Chairmanship of District Development Commissioner, Anantnag, Mr. Farooq Ahmad Shah.
The meeting among others was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, SP Kulgam, Superintending Engineers of R&B, PDD, PHE, Commandants of 24th and 99th Battalion of CRPF, Tehsildars of Dooru and Qazigund, Chief Education Officer, Anantnag and concerned officers of various departments.
Addressing the meeting, the District Development Commissioner impressed upon the officers to work with coordination and cooperation besides exhibiting dedicated attitude in assuring the National Highway open during the ensuing winter season so that the traffic on the Highway does not face any interruption and inconvenience to the masses is avoided in respect of supplies of essential commodities.
