Statement shattered Our mental peace: CHCC
SRINAGAR – Expressing anger and disappointment over the chief Ministers recent statement hinting at privatization of citys prestigious Hotel Centaur located on banks of world famous Dal Lake, the Centaur Hotel Coordination Committee (CHCC) said that the statement has shattered mental peace of employees apart from affecting smooth functioning of the hotel.
The CHCC today held a peaceful protest demonstration against the statement of the Chief Minister. We have earlier opposed the move, although the employees had fought legally against their service rights. All the employees have reservations over this move and are against the proposal moved by management to state government, if any, they added.
We demand that in case the government takes any action in this regard, they should take into confidence the CHCC, representing all employees. Employees and officers should be consulted for over all betterment and development of this unit, said CHCC President Mufti Iqbal .
General Secreatry Nazir Ahmad Dar, Hilal Ahmad Bhat Qazi and Muzaffar Jan were also part of the protest programme.
