SRINAGAR – Describing the role of Special police Officers (SPOs) appreciable and committed, PDP candidate for upcoming Legislative Council elections Yasir Reshi visited the home of SPO Mushtaq Ahmad Balla on Wednesday to express solidarity with Ballas family.
Sources told KNS that the slain SPO was posted as personal security guard to an NC worker. Balla (Belt no. 504) was attacked by suspected militants on Tuesday at Baramulla Chowk. He had received multiple bullets and succumbed to injuries in evening of the same day.
Talking to KNS, Reshi said that SPOs are guarding VIPs and they (SPOs) were committed to their duty. I appeal government to enhance their salary as their duty and commitment is appreciable, said Reshi while talking to KNS
I know I cannot decrease the pain of Ballas family but I visited them to express solidarity as a mark of brotherhood and oneness, said Reshi.
