Injured PSO Succumbs

SRINAGAR – A Personnel Security Officer (PSO) of a ruling National Conference leader, who was injured critically in a militant firing in Baramulla died last night. 

SPO of Irfan Ahmad NC leader, Mushtaq Ahmad was fired upon from a very close range with a pistol when he was sitting inside the vehicle of the leader at Baramulla last evening. The NC leader was sitting in a nearby restaurant when the incident took place. The injured was immediately shifted to SMHS hospital from where he was shifted to SKIMS in a critical condition. The SPO, who was hit in the abdomen and left hand, died in the hospital, a police spokesman said here today.
