SRINAGAR – Democratic Freedom Party Chairman Shabir Ahmad Shah has paid glowing tributes the valleys top journalists Khwaja Sonaullah Bhat and Sofi Ghulam Muhammad Bhat on their death anniversaries. Shah has said that the two top editors of Aftab and Srinagar Times were among the top in the valleys history of journalism, who never compromised their principles of the fourth estate.
Bhat and Sofi were an institution in itself and were upholding the principles of journalism under all circumstances. They were giving voice to the voiceless people of the valley, Shah said.
He said that despite the difficulties and the conflict prevailing in the valley the two had braved every difficulty and performed their duties. The whole Kashmiri nation is highly indebted to them for their services that they have rendered in the service to the Kashmir cause, Shah said.
