SRINAGAR (KNS) – The Co-ordination Committee of Pulwama has called for a complete shutdown on 23rd of this month to protest the state governments failure to address the hardships people of the district faced due to erratic power supply for several years past. Talking to reporters, the committees president, Bashir Ahmad Wani, said the district administration had held out an assurance last year to improve the power supply but in spite of lapse of a year, nothing had been done.
He called for a general strike on Friday across the district to jolt the authorities out of their continued slumber. He urged the educational institutions in the district to join the strike.
