JAMMU – Senior Superintendent of Police Vijay Singh Sambyal has been appointed as new police chief of Jammu district after SSP Prabhat Singh among five police officers have been sent for specialised training.
“SSP Sambyal replaced Mr Prabhat Singh as SSP Jammu as he has been sent on training,” reliable sources said here today. Four officers have also been given additional charges following four other district police chiefs have also been sent on training.
SP Koushal Kumar given additional charge of SSP Samba in place of SSP Israr Khan, SP Mohan Lal has been given additional charge of SSP Reasi in place of SSP Raghubir Singh, SSP Traffic Rural Surjit Kumar has been given additional charge of SSP Traffic Jammu in place of SSP Manmohan Singh. Meanwhile, Joginder Singh has been given an additional charge as SSP CID.
